Once was Earthquake Rubble Necklace - 4 Beads
Made from 2015 Nepal Earthquake Rubble, funding the rebuild of community infrastructure in rural Nepal.
Your beautiful red brick beads are handmade in Bocha community and sent to the fair trade glaziers in Kathmandu for a smooth and delicate finish. Here, the workers trace the little houses that have been etched into the bead by the bead makers, which symbolise what the community is working towards; a community building where they can house an education, health and entrepreneur centre. The beads are sent to us in Eumundi, Australia, where they are assembled and wrapped up in eco-loving brown paper packaging tied up in string.
Shake -It-Up jewellery would not be possible without our amazing project and community partners, including ICA Nepal. We have all been working very hard to make this project a success and we are so VERY proud of it. There are still many landslides and road blocks in the area that we have had to take into consideration but the beads are here now, they look fantastic and we are so excited to create real and positive change this Christmas.
You are creating so much good in the world, not just for the people of Bocha & surrounds but also for the planet and proving to each other community of like-minded, good-hearted people can change the world!
So simply place an order, join the email list on our website, so we can keep you updated with the journey of rebuilding Nepal, and await these world-changing goodies.
We are looking forward to changing the world with you,
FOUNDER & CEO
